An interactive Land Conflict portal www.Landconflictwatch.org tracks land conflicts in India and is available for viewers online. As of now, there are 273 conflicts on the interactive website, and clicking on the conflict on the map provides greater details. You can also search for conflicts by sectors, states or even districts.
The Portal also has a facebook link, where new conflicts, as they are posted on the website, are released simultaneously. The link for the facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/LCWIndia/. This provides a simple way to be notified of new conflicts being posted on the website.
The portal also invites information about land and forest related conflicts which are not listed on the website. Information is sought at contact@landconflictwatch.org
Among the states going to polls, Uttar Pradesh maps quite a few as do Punjab and Manipur. Goa does not figure on the list of states though there have been many a dispute on land grabs especially by illegal mining there.
