Condemn the situation of undeclared emergency! - Ambedkar Bhagat Singh Study Circle (ABSC)

Resist the state repression!

Ambedkar Bhagat Singh Study Circle, a collective of students of IIT Kharagpur condemns the nationwide raids and arrests of lawyers, poets, writers, Dalit rights activists, and intellectuals. Using the Bhima Koregaon incident as an excuse, at least five prominent activists, including Sudha Bharadwaj, Arun Ferreira, Vernon Gonsalves, Gautam Navlakha, and Varavara Rao, have been arrested. On Tuesday morning, 28 August, simultaneous raids were conducted across multiple cities. Those who faced the raids are prominent human rights activists, intellectuals, and lawyers
including Ex-Professor of IIT Kharagpur Anand Teltumbde. Prof. Teltumbde is now working as a Senior Professor in Goa Institute of Management (GIM).

The Hindutva fascist forces in power, on one hand, are intensifying their all-out war on the Dalits, Adivasis and minorities in the rural areas. On the other hand, they are carrying out attempts to silence the activists and intellectuals who are raising their voices against such atrocities. The situation resembles an undeclared emergency.

ABSC appeals to the students and intellectuals all over India to unite and raise their voices against the fascist ruling establishment and resist the state repression.
