"Friends, Indians, countrymen, lend me your ears"

Friends, Indians, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Congress, not to praise them.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with Nehru. The noble Modi
Hath told you Nehru was ambitious:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Congress answer’d it.
Here, under leave of BJP and the rest–
For BJP is an honourable party;
So are they all, all honourable men–
Come I to speak in Congress's funeral.
Lal Bahadur Shastri was India's friend, faithful and just to her:
But Modi says they were ambitious;
And Modi is an honourable man.
Congress hath through Dr. Singh brought many FDI home to India
Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill:
Did this in Congress seem ambitious?
When that the poor have cried, Rajiv Gandhi hath wept:
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:
Yet Modi says they were ambitious;
And Modi is an honourable man.
You all did see that on the Lupercal, in 2004
I thrice presented Sonia the PM crown,
Which she did thrice refuse: was this ambition?
Yet Modi says she was ambitious;
And, sure, he is an honourable man.
I speak not to disprove what Modi spoke,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love Congress once for 50 years, not without cause:
What cause withholds you then, to mourn for them in the age of paid votes?
O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts, (and dogs)
And men have lost their reason. Bear with me;
My heart is in the coffin with the murdered future of India,
And I must pause till it comes back to me.

But Caesar is very much alive. Caesar or no Caesar, choose wisely for 2019.
