To the Living Martyr Prof. G.N. Saibaba
You can certainly make me crawl
by taking away my crutches
you can sleep with an ease
by leaving me unattended in my cell
you can deny me the right to possess
a piece of paper or pencil
you have every power to censor my letters
and insulate me from the outside world
but you will never be able to stop me
from dreaming for a just society
you cannot lock up my liberated mind
which will keep on flying high in the skies
what can you do with a thinking head
that will never bow before you
polio could only cripple my body
but not my soul
