Kapil Mishra sings Islamophobic song in video

Delhi MLA Kapil Mishra, who has previously also been called out for peddling hate, has now put his bigotry to music. In a 2-minute song that he tweeted and posted on YouTube on Thursday, April 4, Mishra rails against the “चाँद सितारा वाला झंडा” (flag with moon and star), clearly singing about the crescent moon and star that is a widely used symbol in Islam.

Mishra, in his tweet, which was addressed to Congress President Rahul Gandhi, said “अयोध्या, मथुरा, काशी, सोमनाथ तोड़ने वालो के हाथ मे चाँद सितारा झंडा था / सिख गुरुओं के हत्यारों के हाथ में यहीं झंडा था / भारत विभाजन करने वालों के हाथ में यहीं झंडा था / आतंकवादी इसी झण्डे की कसम खाते हैं / इस झंडे को भारत की राजनीति से दूर रखो (Those who broke Ayodhya, Mathura, Kashi, Somnath were carrying the flag with moon and star / Those who attacked Sikh Gurus were also carrying this flag / Those who split India also carried this flag / Terrorists also swear by this flag).” His tweet can be seen below, with the video embedded:

Previously, Mishra spewed venom after the Pulwama terror attack, that left 40 CRPF jawans dead. Mishra tweeted, calling for the destruction of “wombs that give birth to terrorists,” a virtual threat to inflict genocide, and also targeted intellectuals and civil society members, suggesting they were terrorist sympathisers. He insisted that reports of Kashmiri students being targeted across India were fake, despite their being video proof.
