Vivek Singh will take over the charge as SP from Shivdayal who will now be in-charge of the Fighter VII Corps Special Armed Forces, Bhopal.

IAS officer Tanvi Sundriyal’s transfer came after a BJP legislator accused her of alleged negligence in handling the Covid-19 challenge in the district.

Ram Dangore, the BJP MLA from Pandhana constituency had written to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday demanding that the officer from the 2010 batch be transferred for her failure in containing the spread of the infection in the district.

Khandwa currently has 186 corona positive cases.

Dangore said, “Khandwa is passing through a sensitive phase. The collector is hiding death toll,” the legislator alleged in the letter and wondered why the intelligence department not apprising the CM of coverage by media, social media and public. “One more positive case has been reported in my constituency we need a new collector for better monitoring.”

Earlier, Sundriyal had ruled that liquor shops would not be opened in the district as it could lead to a spike in cases, even though the government had permitted the same.

She has now been posted as the executive director of Environmental Planning and Coordination Organisation (EPCO), a charge that she will take from Anil Kumar Khare, Deputy Secretary, Public Works Department.
