लखनऊ : भाजपा नेताओं के द्वारा महिलाओं के प्रति लगातार गलत बयान बाजी जारी है, आज एक निजी न्यूज चैनल ETV पर जारी बहस के दौरान भाजपा प्रवक्ता प्रेम शुक्ला ने सपा की महिला प्रवक्ता पंखुरी पाठक को आपत्तिजनक शब्द बोले जो कि किसी महिला के सम्मान को ठेस पहुंचाता है।
प्रेम शुक्ला ने बोला कि –
1) “पंखुरी पाठक तुम्हारे पंख ज्यादा फड़फड़ा रहे हैं चुप रहो ज्यादा ना फडफ़ड़ाएं तुम्हारे पंख”।
2) “हमे पता है कि तुम्हारे जैसी महिलाओं को यादव परिवार में कैसे एंट्री मिलती हैं और अगर मैंने अपना पूरा मुँह खोला तो तुम शर्मसार हो जाओगी” ।
इस तरह भाजपा प्रवक्ता प्रेम शुक्ला ने सपा प्रवक्ता पंखुरी पाठक को पूरे देश के सामने अपने अमर्यादित बोल से शर्मसार किया हैं। हालाँकि पंखुरी पाठक ने प्रेम शुक्ल के अमर्यादित बोल पर चैनल के साथ भाजपा प्रवक्ता को भी खूब सुनाया और कहा की भाजपा नेताओं से महिलाओं का सम्मान कभी नही हो पायेगा तथा इनकी इस भाषा ने महिलाओं के प्रति भाजपा की मानसिकता को भी दर्शाया हैं।
हमारे संवाददाता ने बताया कि सपा प्रवक्ता पंखुरी पाठक अपने कई समर्थकों के साथ,प्रेम शुक्ला द्वारा महिलाओं के लिए बोली गयी अभद्र भाषा के खिलाफ कानून की मदद लेने जा रही हैं और इस मामले में वह पुलिस थाने में FIR लिखवा सकती हैं।
उत्तर प्रदेश में भारतीय जनता पार्टी गठबंधन करके चुनाव लड़ रही है। गठबंधन में अपना दल (अनुप्रिया पटेल गुट) और भारतीय समाज पार्टी भाजपा के सहयोगी है। भाजपा ने गठबंधन के तहत कार्यकर्ताओं का सम्मेलन बुलाया गया। यह कार्यकर्ता सम्मलेन अपना दल (अनुप्रिया पटेल गुट) की तरफ से घोषित प्रत्याशी पूर्व मंत्री विक्रमाजीत मौर्य के समर्थन में बुलाया गया था।
गठबंधन के तहत बुलाये गए सम्मलेन से भाजपा कार्यकर्ता पूरी तरह से नदारद रहे। आपको बता दें कि इलाहाबाद की फाफामऊ सीट पर कई नेता टिकट के लिए लगे थे। भाजपा की तरफ से दर्जन भर नेता टिकट मांग रहे थे। गठबंधन के तहत फाफामऊ सीट अनुप्रिया पटेल के खाते में चली गयी। जिससे भाजपा के नेताओं में जबरदस्त असंतोष चल रहा है। जिसका असर कार्यकर्ताओं के सम्मलेन पर देखने को मिला।
दरअसल, टिकट बंटवारे के बाद प्रदर्शन, नारेबाजी व पुतला दहन के बाद भी पार्टी में जो शांति बताई जा रही थी साफ तौर पर इस सम्मेलन में देखने को मिली। कार्यकर्ताओं ने उत्साह न दिखाते हुए सम्मेलन में न आना ठीक समझा। सुबह 10 बजे शुरू हुये इस सम्मेलन के समापन होने तक आधी से ज्यादा कुर्सियां खाली पड़ी रही।
फाफामऊ विधानसभा से जहां समाजवादी पार्टी से अंसार अहमद और बसपा से मनोज पांडेय उम्मीदवार हैं जिनसे भाजपा गठबंधन के प्रत्याशी विक्रमाजीत को कड़ी टक्कर का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। लेकिन जैसा की कार्यकर्ताओं के सम्मेलन में देखने को मिला भाजपा कार्यकर्ता पूरी तरह से सम्मलेन में नदारद रहे। ऐसे में भाजपा का यूपी फतह का सपना शायद सपना ही रहने वाला प्रतीत होता है।

Jats could not bear the thought of a Dalit beating them in a race, it is reported
Almost seven years after scores of Dalit families fled Mirchpur following a brutal attack on a physically challenged Dalit girl and her father who were burned alive (see video below), instigated by the aggressive Jats , a similar exodus appeared to have begun after fresh violence between the two communities last night. Around 40 families left the village late on January 31 despite assurances by the district authorities of “foolproof security”. Around 100 villagers had reached Hisar town in two buses by the evening. As in 2010, yesterday’s violence too was the fallout of a petty issue, which snowballed into a major clash that left four Dalit youths injured.
The Tribune reports that one Tej Bhan alleged that Shiv Kumar, a Dalit youth, had two days ago won a 1,600 metres race event, which saw participation from all castes. “Probably those beaten in the race could not digest a Dalit edging past them… a scuffle began when a group of Jat youths hurled casteist slurs at Shiv at a cyccling event last night,” he said.
When Shiv objected, he was attacked by around 40 persons, alleged Bhan. Ajmer Kumar, a Dalit, said they would return to the village only after the government fulfilled their demands.
Close to seven years ago, in April 2010, two Dalits were charred to death following a fight between the two communities over the barking of a dog. A fragile truce was restored by CRPF, which was withdrawn two months ago.There are n reasons given by the authorities as to why this security cover was withdrawn suddenly. The fresh violence has raised questions over the move to withdraw the security force. While the deputy commissioner Nikhil Gajraj denied it was a caste clash, saying among those arrested, one each was from Brahmin and Lohar castes while the other two were Jats, the sarpanch Satyawan too claimed it was a clash between youngsters and was “unnecessarily being given a caste colour”. Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajender Kumar Meena said additional forces had been rushed to the village, and that the situation was under control. Meanwhile, following state minister Krishan Bedi’s assurance, Dalits agreed to return to their village. Bedi assured them that the state government would consider their rehabilitation demand after the assembly poll in five states.
Rewind to 2010 Police a mute spectator during Mirchpur violence: Commission
PTI had reported in September 2015 that the Commission of Inquiry which probed the Mirchpur violence in Haryanas Hisar district in which a dalit physically challenged girl and her father were burnt alive inside their house, has blamed the cops for acting as "mute spectator" and "failing" to act on time to prevent the horrific incident. The one-man Justice Iqbal Singh Commission which was set up by the Haryana government to probe the circumstance leading to the incident resulting in the death of two persons and also the circumstances leading to arson, fire and rioting, has blamed the cops for acting as "mute spectator" and "failing" to act on time to prevent the horrific incident. On April 21, 2010, 70-year-old Tara Chand and his physically challenged daughter Suman (16) got burnt alive in their house while several other people were injured when a mob went on rampage torching several houses. Fifty two persons were injured in the incident, in which 18 houses were also damaged by the mob. The Commission in its report noted that the "duty magistrate and the police failed to prevent the (Mirchpur violence) incident.."
The report, submitted to the State government nearly a year back, but tabled in the ongoing session of the Haryana Assembly here on Friday, has noted that tension had build up between Dalits and the members of the pre-dominant Jat community after the altercation between them, but the police "failed" to understand the gravity of the situation in the village and take appropriate action. A spat between some youths of village Mirchpur belonging to the Jat community with a Dalit family over a trivial matter erupted into a major row later. The inquiry report was based on spot visits and the statements of many people, including the victims, witnesses and the local villagers.
The incident was reported in media and was also raised in Parliament. Committee on the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes visited the village after the incident. "Police did not act properly rather acted very casually and allowed the situation to go out of control," the report tabled in the Assembly, said. "The Police personnel who were requisitioned some of whom were armed with self loading rifles ran away from the spot which further gave an opportunity to the mob to burn the houses. Had the Police officials of the Police station Narnaud (Hisar district) deployed adequate force and took preventive action this unfortunate incident could have been prevented. "It failed to understand the gravity of the situation and took it lightly in the initial stage and further failed to take appropriate action which resulted into incident on April 21, 2010," the report said.

यह बात दर्ज की जानी चाहिए कि जब पाँच राज्यों में विधानसभा चुनाव हो रहे थे तो इंडिया टुडे ग्रुप देश का मिज़ाज बताने का दावा करने वाला सर्वे लेकर आया । उसने इन पाँच राज्यों के बारे में कोई नतीजा ना देकर ऐलान किया कि देश में एनडीए की लहर है। क्या यह संयोग है या फिर सोची-समझी प्रचार योजना का हिस्सा। यह कैसे हो सकता है कि आज तक जैसा सबसे तेज़ चैनल विधानसभा चुनाव के समय राज्यों का नहीं देश का मूड बताने में दिलचस्पी रखे।
इंडिया टुडे और कारवी इनसाइट के इस सर्वे के नतीजे में मोदी ही मोदी हैं। सर्वे के मुताबिक अभी चुनाव हो तो एनडीए को लोकसभा में 360 सीटें मिलेंगी। मोदी जी की लोकप्रियता में ज़बरदस्त इज़ाफ़ा हुआ है। 65 फ़ीसदी लोग उन्हें प्रधानमंत्री पद के लिए सर्वाधिक योग्य मानते हैं। यही नहीं सैकड़ों लोगों की जान लेने वाली और देश की आर्थिक रफ़्तार को धीमी करने वाली नोटबंदी के फ़ैसले के साथ भी 80 फ़ीसदी लोग हैं। सर्वे के मुताबिक अकेले बीजेपी की 305 सीटें आएँगी अगर अभी चुनाव हों। सर्वे में 19 राज्यों के 12,143 लोगों से बात की गई।
अब यह बात छिपी नहीं है कि बार-बार ग़लत साबित होने के बावजूद चैनलों में सर्वे करने को लेकर इतना उत्साह क्यों होता है। दरअसल, ऐसे सर्वे माहौल बनाने में अहम भूमिका निभाते हैं और उहापोह में पड़े मतदाताओं को प्रभावित करते हैं। यह एक तरह प्रचार का ही रूप होता है। पहले हज़ार-दो हज़ार लोगों से बात करके, अपनी राजनीतिक रुचि के मुताबिक एक नतीजा रखा जाता है और फिर ऐसे नतीजों को आधार बनाकर रात-दिन चैनलों में बहस चलती है। चुनावी रैलियों में भी इनका हवाला दिया जाता है। अख़ाबारों में भी भरपूर प्रचार होता है। यानी अमेरिकी विचारक नॉम चाम्सकी जिस मैन्यूफैक्चरिंग कन्सेंट (सहमति विनिर्माण) की चर्चा करते हैं, यह उसी का एक रूप है। कॉरपोरेट मीडिया अपनी ताक़त का इस्तेमाल करके मुद्दों और नेताओं की छवियाँ गढ़ता है।
अगर इंडिया टुडे का सर्वे सही है तो फिर पाँचों राज्यों में बीजेपी की सरकार ही बननी चाहिए। राजनीति की ज़रा भी समझ रखने वाला व्यक्ति इसे चुटकुला मानेगा। ऐसा नहीं कि इंडिटा टुडे के सर्वेकार इसे समझते नहीं, इसलिए उन्होंने बड़ी चालाकी से इसे ‘देश का मूड का नाम दिया’ और विधानसभा चुनाव वाले राज्यों पर कुछ कहना गोल कर गए गोया देश का मूड, यूपी, पंजाब समेत पाँच राज्यों को अलग करके पता किया जा सकता है।
साफ़ है कि ऐसे सर्वे मतदाताओं पर असर डालने के औज़ार हैं। ख़ास बात यह है कि इसमें आप एक पैटर्न देख सकते हैं। आमतौर पर बीजेपी ही आगे रहती है। सर्वेकार ग़लत होने की संभावना ख़ारिज नहीं करते, लेकिन ऐसा ग़लत सर्वे कभी नहीं हुआ जिसमें कभी बीजेपी विरोधी या छोटे दल जीत गए हों। बीते बिहार चुनाव में भी इंडिया टुडे एनडीए की सरकार बनवा रहा था। दिल्ली के चुनाव में आज तक ने आम आदमी पार्टी को महज़ आठ-दस सीट दी थी।
यह केवल इंडिया टुडे का मसला नहीं है। ज़रा 2014 में दिल्ली के चुनाव को लेकर एबीपी न्यूज़ के सर्वे को याद कीजिए। जिस बीजेपी को 3 सीटें मिलीं, उसे सर्वे में 46 सीटें दी गई थीं। जिस आम आदमी पार्टी ने 67 सीटें पाईं उसे 18 सीटें दी गई थीं। 2013 का सर्वे भी ऐसा ही था। ऐसी ग़लतियाँ संयोग नहीं नीयत का पता देती हैं। 3 सीट को 46 बताना सिर्फ़ ग़लती का मामला नहीं है।
ऐसी ग़लती होना और बार-बार होना संयोग नहीं है। यह बताता है कि देश की कॉरपोरेट लॉबी दरअस्ल किन राजनीतिक शक्तियों को शीर्ष पर देखना चाहती है। चैनल मालिकों का हित सीधे उनके सोच से संचालित होता है।
ऐसे में अगर आपको बीजेपी के स्टार प्रचारकों की लिस्ट कहीं दिखे तो उसमें एक नाम अपनी ओर से जोड़ लीजिएगा। वह नाम है अरुण पुरी,टीवी टुडे कंपनी के मालिक। इस मसले में संपादकों को दोष देना ग़लत है। वे तो हुक्म के ग़ुलाम हैं।
गलत आंकड़े दिखाकर लोगों को गुमराह करने वाली खबर में टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया जैसे प्रतिष्ठित संस्थान ने शायद भूल सुधार करने की भी कोशिश नहीं की। दरअसल चुनावों को लेकर ओपिनियन पोल शुरू हो चुके हैं जबकि ये ओपिनियन पोल अधिकांश गलत ही साबित होते रहे हैं। ओपिनियन पोल को लेकर लंबे समय से सवाल खड़े होते रहे हैं। साथ ही आरोप लगते रहे हैं कि इनके जरिए वोटरों का रुझान बदला जाता है।
टाइस्स और वीएमआर का यह सर्वे इस साल के चुनावों में बीजेपी को 202 सीटें दिलवा रहा है। वहीं सपा और कांग्रेस गठबंधन को 147 सीटें दिलवाई हैं। इसमें बीएसपी को 47 सीटों पर समेट दिया है वहीं अन्य को 7 सीटें दी जा रही हैं।

Dainik Bhaskar of the Bhaskar group (that incidentally also owns the Urdu daily Inquilab) has put out this advertisement on the streets of Lucknow. The newspaper's own website claims it has a circulation of 3,812,599 a huge number. Would this not be seen as an easy way of breaching poll norms apart from displaying partisanship?
Will the Election Commission and even the Press Council take note? Even as ‘Opinion Polls; begin to air a certain BJP victory in the state, and the EC continues with its apparently ineffective diktats, this display of one party partisanship is a new challenge for India’s ‘democracy.’

Barely months after Hyderabad police profiled ‘Dalit Camera’ a You-Tube channel and allegedly resorted to a secret enquiry about persons behind it, the popular YouTube channel dedicated to caste discrimination has suddenly and inexplicably been terminated by You-tube. You-Tube is an American video-sharing website.
While YouTube has alleged “copyright infringement,” Dalit activist Ravichandran Bathran, who is the founder of Dalit Camera has said that that they upload original content and the accusations of copyright infringement are baseless. “I take a video and upload in YouTube, now you claim that it is your video. …When one person is protesting, in the background there is a music. How does this becomes a copyright issue?”, Ravichandran Bathran, Founder, Dalit Camera demands.
“This account has been terminated because we received multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement regarding material the user posted,” a declaration by the YouTube on the terminated page reads.
Dalit Camera is an attempt to document the realities of life in India “through the eyes of the untouchable”. The channel had, more than 1,30,000 viewers per month and some of its videos were viewed more than 60,000 times. “I feel like they cut my root,” Bathran, who is a research fellow at Indian Institute of Advanced Study says. The channel has covered the Una agitation, the recent Tamil Nadu protests and also of course the agitation at University of Hyderabad after Rohith Vemula’s death and suspension of his collagues. In December 2016, when four research scholars of the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), associated with DC, were convicted for defamation over videos uploaded on social networking sites through ‘Dalit Camera’.
“Rohith Vemula’s video is available online, now who has copyright for Rohith? ABN may make claims, NDTV will make a claim, but we cannot, because we do not have financial strength of NDTV, ABN etc.,” adds Ravichandran.
Dalit Camera had earlier uploaded a video of Rohith Vemula, in which he talks about his caste, which was recorded by some of his friend. This video has also come under scanner.
“I take a video you claim copyright for it. How would I respond?,” Ravichandran asks.
Kuffir Nalgundwar, who is the co-founder of Round Table India also resonates the same, alleging that the termination, is a planned attack. ¨Whoever has done this represents larger, fascist forces.¨ he said.

Text of the Appeal:
On January 17, 2017, President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order putting in place a 90-day ban that denies US entry to citizens from seven Muslim majority countries: Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Libya and Somalia. So far, the ban includes dual nationals, current visa, and green card holders, and is affecting those born in these countries while not holding citizenship of them. The Order also suspends the admittance of all refugees to the US for a period of 120 days and terminates indefinitely all refugee admissions from Syria. There are indications that the Order could be extended to include other Muslim majority countries.
The Order has affected people with residence rights in the US, as well as those with rights of entry and stay. Some of those affected are fleeing violence and persecution, and have been waiting for years for resettlement in the US as refugees. Others are effectively trapped in the US, having cancelled planned travel for fear that they will be barred from returning. The order institutionalises racism, and fosters an environment in which people racialised as Muslim are vulnerable to ongoing and intensifying acts of violence and hatred.
Among those affected by the Order are academics and students who are unable to participate in conferences and the free communication of ideas. We the undersigned take action in solidarity with those affected by Trump’s Executive Order by pledging not to attend international conferences in the US while the ban persists. We question the intellectual integrity of these spaces and the dialogues they are designed to encourage while Muslim colleagues are explicitly excluded from them.
