Frontline Defenders has condemned the attack on the home of human rights defender Babloo Loitongbam on October 5, 2023, in Manipur. The human rights defender’s residence was vandalised by unidentified perpetrators. Hours prior to the attack Babloo Loitonbam was threatened by a militant group named ‘Meitei Leepun’ who called for the human rights defender to be boycotted.
