Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal’s former principal secretary, Rajendra Kumar, has sought voluntary retirement from service. In his letter (Read below) to Delhi Chief Secretary, Kumar made sensation allegations of torture by the CBI adding that his interrogators promised him to set him free if he implicated Kejriwal.Kumar, a 1989 batch officer, wrote, “During interrogation, I was repeatedly told that I would be let free if I implicate Chief Minister of Delhi.
May be this was the reason for the CBI to go to such extraordinary length.”
Reacting to to the sensational disclosure, Kejriwal tweeted, “CBI raids my office, pressurises officer to implicate me. CBI raids Satinder Jain’s office. Why are u so so scared of us Modi ji? Chill.”
Kumar, whose office was raided in December 2015, was arrested in July last year. He said that he was having to pay the price for his ‘political neutrality.’
He wrote, “I have been made to pay the price for my belief in the political neutrality of a civil service officer in the form of false cases against me, accusing me of corruption and other charges… during the last few months, I have experienced an administrative environment wherein it seems extremely difficult to secure fair treatment and justice from central government agencies.”
