Even though Dr. Kafeel Khan saved lives by acquiring the desperately required oxygen cylinders, he was accused of being involved in the BRD Medical tragedy where almost 60 children died due to the lack of oxygen in August 2017. He was recently granted bail in May after spending eight months behind bars. Soon after his brother, Jameel Khan was shot at around 11 pm on June 10th in the Humayunpur north area.
