At the hearing on sentence for his conviction on charges of contempt of court in connection with two tweets, senior advocate Prashant Bhushan today made an impassioned submission before the court. Bhushan said, “I am pained that I have been held guilty of committing contempt of Court whose majesty I have tried to uphold.”
He further said, “I am pained not because I may be punished, but because I have been grossly misunderstood.”
