February 28, 2019, 17 years after the Gujarat Genocidal Carnage haunts Survivors and Rights Activists. Today within the Gulberg Society Ahmedabad, Tanvir Jafri, Nishrin Hussain, Rupabehn Mody, Sairabehn Sandhi all gathered to offer prayers at a Korankhaani. Fr Cedric Prakash was also present. Survivor witnesses from Naroda Patiya also offered prayers Tanvir and Nargis recalled their father Ahasan Jafri, “Friends hate kills everything. Because of hate today on Feb 28th – 17 years ago in a democratic and peaceful country like India a 10,000 strong mob gathered to kill our 73 year old father Ahsan Jafri at his home and all other innocent Muslims around Gujarat. Close to 2000 Muslims were brutally killed in February and March of 2002 alone. Think before you spread hate and kill people. All religions teach peace. Only unity will keep us peaceful, happy and together.” Amen
