CRPF Issues Advisory After Fake Photos of Body Parts of Slain Jawans Shared on Social Media
The forces said that miscreants are sharing the images to incite hatred.
While a section of Indians, empowered by the current political environment, on social media and on the streets are becoming the hate response that the JEM terrorist wants, India’s CRPF, the paramilitary force crippled by this attack, physically and emotionally, has been calmly issuing advisories:
The Central Reserved Paramilitary Forces (CRPF) on Sunday, February 17 said that fake pictures of the body parts of jawans who died in the Pulwama terror attack are being shared on social media to invoke hatred.
The security forces issued an advisory on Twitter and requested people to not circulate, share or like such pictures.
“ADVISORY: It has been noticed that on social media some miscreats are trying to circulate fake pictures of body parts of our Martyrs to invoke hatred while we stand united. Please DO NOT circulate/share/like such photographs or posts. Report such content at webpro@crpf.gov.in” (a tweet at 2.46 a.m. on 17th February)
There is more. The CRPF Madadgaar Twitter handle posted a tweet mentioning their toll free number 14411. They can also be reached via SMS on 7082814411.
