A disturbing video of a woman burning and running has surfaced on social media. In the video, a woman is on fire while spectators watch. She can be seen running while on fire. The video then shows one or two men coming to help her.

As per a report in the Times of India, the said incident is from Bansgoda in Bokaro. The report states that the said incident took place on October 18 over a land dispute. The woman who can be seen burning has been identified as Ameesha Parveen. According to the report Parveen had been admitted to Bokaro general hospital and her condition is critical. Notably, the account of Muslim Spaces on ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter) has alleged that Parveen suffered from 80% burns on her body and died during her treatment.
As per the TOI report, the incident occurred on Wednesday when Parveen had gone out of her house along with her son. A mob of 15 to 20 villagers attacked her house. When she returned home, the group of assailants set her on fire. Mujaab Ali, son of Parveen, stated that he also sustained injuries while trying to save his mother. Ali further provided that the incident was a result of the land dispute that the family had with the neighbours.
As per the TOI report, Marafari police station in-charge Ashit Khaka said that “We are trying to ascertain the identity of the accused. The victim’s statement is being recorded.”
