Kalicharan Maharaj while speaking at a public event in Pune, Maharashtra, tried to incite people to take up violence by giving examples of Shivaji Maharaj and his son, Sambhaji Maharaj.
At the event held on June 10, Kalicharan said,
“Till when will you stay quiet? Portuguese, Dutch, British, Mughals came and ruined us. Shivaji Maharaj, Sambhaji Maharaj, Rana Pratap gave their lives. Now Italy is trying to ruin us (referring to Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi). We should be ashamed. The person who does nothing to save his religion, he will suffer in hell for 12,000 years.”
“You should watch Kerala Story to know what is going to happen to you. If you are really religious, if you want god’s blessings watch Kerala Story and Kashmir Files and other such movies which will keep coming,” he added.

Even at an event organised by Sakal Hindu Samaj in Maharashtra (exact location unknown), on April 5, Kalicharan had endorsed violence for protecting religion. “The violence done for the protection of religion is the highest moral virtue. That’s why all our gods and goddesses are violent. For protecting the society, religion and nation, killing is not a sin. If the intention is to protect religion and nation,” he had said.
Until now, Kalicharan has delivered hate speeches in 8 locations in Maharashtra from December 2022 onwards. The details of the same are as follows:

In Maharashtra, FIRs have been filed against him in Aurangabad (May 16), Baramati (April 28) and Nanded (April 13). However, he has not been arrested this year for any of these hate speeches.
On May 26, Citizens for Justice and Peace complained to National Commission for Minorities (NCM)collectively against all his hate speeches.
