A patient from the LNJP Hospital in Delhi has alleged that he was kept on a bed “next to dead bodies” there. The hospital authorities have however refuted the claim, reported Deccan Herald.
In a video being circulated on WhatsApp and other platforms shows a man, wearing a mask apparently shooting a video from inside the ward of the LNJP hospital. In the video, he alleges that he was kept on a bed in a ward that had “dead bodies next to his bed” and that he was not getting food on time.

In the video, addressing PM Modi and Delhi CM Kejriwal, a man called Abhishek Srivastava from Jahangirpuri, H block, said, “Yesterday (April 27) when I was bought to the LNJP Hospital from Gate no. 1, Ward 27, bed number 28, I saw that there were dead bodies lying all around me. I felt very restless and I couldn’t sleep all night. I was so scared. Now it is 11:30 AM, no lunch has been served and there is no hand-wash either. There are no bottles of water and blankets. I may not die due to coronavirus, but I will definitely die of looking at these dead bodies. The situation is very bad here. Please shift me from here.”
However, the hospital authorities refuted the allegations saying that the patient “required psychotherapy and counselling that was arranged for him. He is currently being attended to by specialists in the field.”
A senior official of the hospital said that there was no problem of food and water in that particular ward or any other ward of the hospital.
“The issue of him being in the midst of dead bodies also appears to be incorrect as there has been no death reported from ward 27 on that day or the day prior to that,” the official said.
