Mohd Qasim and Samiuddin were attacked by men and children from neighbouring villages in Pilkhuwa, near Hapur, UP. The incident took place in the wake of the rumours that the duo had tried to slaughter a cow. While Samiuddin survived, Qasim succumbed to his injuries.
