NRC authority releases guidelines on how to check names in final list

The final National Register of Citizens (NRC) list is all set to be published on August 31, and the NRC authority is trying to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience while checking their name in the list.

The public can check their status online using their Application Receipt Number (ARN). The online platform can be used to check a change in status of inclusion in case of people who were previously not included but underwent the claims process to have their names included. It can also be used to check that change in status of people who were previously included but someone filed an objection application against their inclusion.

People whose names were previously included and who neither underwent the claims or objections process, nor appeared in the additional exclusions list will be automatically included in the final NRC.
