Today, October 25, Atul Motilal Setalvad, would have turned 89. Born in 1933 to Motilal and Vimla Setalvad, he passed away on July 22, 2010. This tribute written at the time by close colleague and family friend, Navroz H Seervai is being reproduced by us at Sabrangindia with deep appreciation to the Bombay Bar Association where it was then published. AMS as he was known was an intrinsic part of the BBA. Sabrangindia and Communalism Combat before that are/were co-edited by Atul Setalvad's older daughter, Teesta and her husband Javed Anand.
