Union Minister Ramdas Athawale informed the Parliament during the Monsoon session that in the last three years, 88 people have lost their lives in the septic tanks. However, the fact is that 88 people have lost their lives in the last one year itself. While the government is trying to divert people’s and media’s attention to Chandrayaan 2, the sanitation workers continue to suffer.
