In Delhi, activists, academics, journalists and politicians walked in to the protest # Not In My Name. It culminated into a protest Music Concert.

In Mumbai, actors Konkana Sen, Ranvir Shorey, Kalki Koechlin, Nandita Das and Shabana Azmi and many others braved the heavy rains to attend the protest. It rained and pured except for a brief lull of 35 minutes during the two hour protest but the 400 plus band of supporters stood in the rain, at the Carter Road promenade and protested. In Lucknow, protesters are seen sporting black armbands. In Kolkatta activists and celebrities like Aparna Sen were seen together, protesting in anger and outrage.
