Urmila Matondkar files complaint with EC, alleges mismatch in signatures on EVM form

​​​​​​Mumbai: Amidst the election results, Congress candidate from Mumbai-north, Urmila Matondkar, has filed a complaint with the Election Commission (EC) alleging that there were discrepancies in signatures on an electronic voting machine (EVM) form.

Matondkar, took to twitter, to tell about her complaint. She wrote, “On the form of EVM 17C from Magathane, the signatures and the machine numbers are different. A complaint has been filed with the Election Commission.”

Matondkar was contesting the 2019 Lok Sabha elections for the first time and was pitted against BJP’s Gopal Shetty. If the leads are to be trusted, Matondkar is lagging behind by  1,45,991 votes.
