Democracy at Work: A History of Student Body Elections at JNU (Video)

The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has been in the news, especially since the Modi regime has taken upon itself to destroy an institution that has, since its constitution in the 1960s, striven to democratise structures within. Be it the JNUTA (Teachers Association) or the JNUSU (Student’s Union) it is democracy at work here. Admission procedures (currently stymied and sort to be destroyed by a rapacious government and its stooge of an administration) have also resulted in a glorious plurarity and representation in students.
